(WJRT) - (06/29/2021) - A severe thunderstorm on Tuesday had a strong presence in many parts of Mid-Michigan, especially in southern Genesee County. In Grand Blanc Township, one woman is dealing with two large trees that fell during the storm, barely missing her bedroom window. Now, she’s afraid to sleep in her own home as another large tree hangs right over her roof, and she’s left jumping through hoops to get the situation resolved.

Residents create petition opposing rezoning for proposed Davison Township apartment complex Posted Apr 30, 2021 Facebook Share DAVISON TWP, MI A group of Davison Township residents are protesting the possible construction of a 200-unit apartment complex in between the Brier Crest and Turtle Creek Subdivisions. Residents have gone door-to-door to ask neighbors in their subdivisions to sign a petition opposing the construction of the apartment complex on Davison Road, one that they say will bring more traffic, hurt their property values and cut off their backyards. “When we purchased our home in 2019, we were told that nothing would be built over there because it was zoned for single-family homes, which is a big reason why we bought the house,” Turtle Creek resident Jade Mills said.
