WEST FARGO Familiar faces occupy West Fargo Sheyenne’s dugout. Ten seniors provide experience, leadership and depth for the Mustangs. They also produce wins.
The Mustangs, projected to finish first in the Eastern Dakota Conference in the preseason coaches poll, were expected to win baseball games this season. They’ve proved the early rating wasn’t a fluke.
The Mustangs are 14-3-1 overall (14.5-3.5) this season with a 6-0 mark in the EDC the only team from the East Region with an undefeated conference record.

The Grand Forks school district has received a grant for $30,685 from the Neel Family Fund to be used for semi-professional, educational studios at both high schools where students can learn to record and produce music.
The KnightRider Recording Studios, which will be integrated into current guitar and harmony courses, will provide students with the opportunity to learn how to record large ensembles in band, choir and orchestra, according to the district.

For Shari Jerde, teaching is all about building relationships with students. It’s what she has enjoyed most about her career, especially at Community High School, where taking time to get to know students on an individual basis is encouraged, she said.
