(Credit: Md Baki Bullah) Grand Forks Public Health and Home of Economy will co-host a pop-up COVID-19 vaccination clinic in the Home of Economy parking lot on Thursday, May 20. The clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will be open to walk-in appointments. Attendees may also pre-register for an appointment at ndvax.org. COVID-19 vaccines are free and require no insurance information, and public health nurses will be on site to answer questions about the vaccines. Home of Economy is located at 1508 N. Washington St. in Grand Forks.

Hoheisel hired as Lewis and Clark principal

By Pat Sweeney Lewis and Clark is getting a new principal for the 2021-22 school year.   The Grand Forks School Board approved the recommendation of an interview team in naming Loren Hoheisel to the post.   Hoheisel is currently an associate principal at Discovery Elementary School where he has served in that role for two years.  The committee considered three internal candidates for the position.

Free COVID-19 vaccines available at Hugo s Family Marketplace starting May 10 The walk-in vaccine clinic at the Hugo s Family Marketplace on 32nd Avenue South will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays. Grand Forks Public Health staff will be on-site to answer any questions about the vaccines. 1:07 pm, May 7, 2021 × Grand Forks Public Health will begin administering COVID-19 vaccines at Hugo s Family Marketplace located at 1750 32nd Ave. S. beginning Monday, May 10. Walk-ins are welcome during clinic hours, or individuals can register for an appointment time at ndvax.org. The vaccine clinic will be set up in the former Alerus Bank branch location, and will be open Mondays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursdays 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The vaccines are free of cost and do not require any insurance.
