Anita Fox, director of the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services ACME Michigan s top insurance regulator said Wednesday that auto insurers are required to help injured drivers find access to appropriate medical care and not warehouse care, even as providers drop no-fault clients because of a new state law slashing their payment rates by 45 percent. The National Cherry Festival Organizes A Standing Parade

9 & 10 News July 10, 2021 The coronavirus pandemic couldn’t cancel the Royal Cherry Parade again this year, but it did bring it to a halt. Instead of 150 floats rolling through downtown Traverse City, the parade stood still at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, with about 40 entries. This year, the fans of the parade were on the move, honking and waving at the floats parked along the side of the road. It was not the same parade festival goers were use to, but it gave them some sense of normalcy during the pandemic. “The planning started before the restrictions lifted so we wanted to be able to celebrate that Junior royalty and all our local elementary schools that missed out last year and really give them the space and the room to be safe but still to have all that excitement that surrounds the parade,” said Bailey Judson of the National Cherry Festival.
