Noble Trails connects Fishing Line segments

KENDALLVILLE â Noble Trails will achieve a longtime goal soon in closing the gap on the Fishing Line Trail from Rimmel Road (C.R. 800N) to C.R. 450E. Noble Trails boward member Jenna Anderson said the right of way along the former Indiana & Grand Rapids Railroad line has been acquired to build a half-mile section of the trail between the county roads. Excavation has begun on the section, which will get trail users off of the county roads and onto the safer former rail bed. âThe trail on the rail bed is much easier to excavate and put the trail in,â Anderson said.

Museum hours and special events in the next month Written By: Donna Middleton | × Kandiyohi County Historical Society Willmar, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, closed holidays, $3 for adults, ages 12 and under and Kandiyohi County Historical Society members admitted for free, 320-235-1881, located at the train engine on North Business Highway 71 across from Robbins Island. The museum has a number of featured exhibits. Along with the museum there is a one-room school, a log shed and a Great Northern locomotive. Maps of county historical sites are available at the museum. Summer open house: Aug. 3, 1 to 3 p.m., opening of our new exhibit, “150 Things for 150 Years! Kandiyohi County 1870-2020,” and the official opening of the Kaffe Fest Coffee Pot.
