INDIANAPOLIS — Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority today announced a partnership to increase safety and accessibility for the Fishing Line Trail in Noble
KENDALLVILLE â Noble Trails will achieve a longtime goal soon in closing the gap on the Fishing Line Trail from Rimmel Road (C.R. 800N) to C.R. 450E.
Noble Trails boward member Jenna Anderson said the right of way along the former Indiana & Grand Rapids Railroad line has been acquired to build a half-mile section of the trail between the county roads. Excavation has begun on the section, which will get trail users off of the county roads and onto the safer former rail bed.
âThe trail on the rail bed is much easier to excavate and put the trail in,â Anderson said.
KENDALLVILLE â A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Angling Road shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The Noble County Sheriff s Department, Kendallville Police Department and Kendallville Fire Department were dispatched to Angling Road between Rimmel Road and C.R. 850N. Scanner traffic indicated a car and motorcycle were on fire following a crash.
The motorcyclist was killed.
Indecent assault
BELLFONTE At 4:13 p.m. on Jan. 4,state police at Rockview investigated a case of indecent assault in Benner Township. The victim was reportedly a female from Bellefonte. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft of vehicle
SNOW SHOE At 2:32 p.m. on April 15, state police at Rockview investigated a case of theft of a motor vehicle on Thomas Street in Snow Shoe Borough.
According to police, Megan Henry, 33, of Williamsport stole a 2010 Toyocar van container trailer from the victim, an 81-year-old from Snow Show. Charges were filed.

JACKSONVILLE At 9:17 p.m. on April 12, state police at Rockview investigated a crash on I-80 East in Marion Township.
