ROCKFORD A serious crash Thursday evening at the intersection of Springfield Avenue and Montague Road has resulted in the death of two boys.
Rockford police posted the news on Twitter Thursday night, informing the public that two male juveniles were pronounced dead at the scene.
The only other information released about the crash came about two hours earlier when police urged motorists to avoid the area. Serious car crash on Montague and Springfield, the department posted. Avoid the area until further notice.
