A photographer named Richard Davis was going through some old stuff and stumbled upon photos he took in 1989 at Nirvana s second-ever UK gig at Manchester Polytechnic Students Union. Speaking with Manchester Evening News, Davis explained how he came across the photos after assuming they were lost for good after three decades. “For years I was convinced that someone had nicked the negatives,” he explained. “But about two months ago I was going through my kids stuff and found it among the old primary school photos… I looked at it and thought, Oh my God, I thought I d lost them. ”
