In 1983, guardians was used in an old Air Force Space Commando motto which referred to soldiers as “Guardians of the High Frontier”, as was shared on a post on the US Space Force website.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu received a Covid-19 vaccine jab on Saturday, kicking off a national rollout over the coming days.
Netanyahu, 71, and Israel’s health minister were injected with the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine live on TV at Sheba Medical Center in Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv.
“I asked to be vaccinated first, together with Health Minister Yuli Edelstein, to serve as personal examples and encourage you to be vaccinated,” Netanyahu told the television audience.
They must each receive a booster shot in three weeks for optimal protection from the novel coronavirus.
United States Vice President Mike Pence got the jab live on television Friday, while President-elect Joe Biden is set to receive his shot on Monday.
Pence, meanwhile, has taken center stage, touring a vaccine production facility this week and receiving a dose himself on live television Friday morning. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell both said Thursday that they will get vaccinated in the next few days.

The Dutch health minister said coronavirus vaccinations using the Pfizer-BioNTech shots will start by January 8 if the European Union’s medicines agency approves it for use next week. Hugo de Jonge said that health authorities have developed a plan he described as “careful, safe and responsible.”

Israel has established full diplomatic ties with Bhutan, a small, majority-Buddhist landlocked kingdom in the Himalayas neighboring India and China. The agreement was signed on Saturday at a ceremony held at the residence of Israel’s Ambassador to India Ron Malka, with Bhutan’s Ambassador to India Major General Vetsop Namgyel.
