Published April 28, 2021 11:40pm The Philippine government is negotiating with other countries to obtain their excess vaccines to inoculate the Filipinos against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said Wednesday evening. “Talagang halos umaga, gabi nagne-negotiate po tayo, kahit Sabado, Linggo po, para makakuha lang po tayo ng talagang steady and secured supply this coming May and June,” Galvez said in a live briefing. (From morning to night, we’re negotiating, even during Saturdays or Sundays in order to obtain steady and secured supply this coming May and June.) Galvez said he has been talking with Philippine Ambassador to the United States Jose Romualdez to devise a plan to secure AstraZeneca doses from the United States.
