HVC 10th Anniversary Shipping in August
This year marks the 10th anniversary of Reinier Lorenzo’s HVC Cigars and as most cigar companies are apt to do, he’s celebrating the occasion with a new cigar.
The HVC 10th Anniversary is a 6 1/2 x 50 toro extra that uses a corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa, Nicaragua and three different Nicaraguan fillers: corojo 99, corojo 2012 and criollo 98. Lorenzo says this is the first time that he is using corojo 2012 in a blend.
It has an MSRP of $15 per cigar and will be limited to 2,000 boxes of 15 cigars.

S.T.Dupont Launching Space Odyssey
French accessory maker S.T.Dupont is no stranger to high-priced items inspired by space, but its newest collection of accessories looks to space as what it could be, not just celebrating past achievements.
It’s called Space Odyssey, a 10-piece limited collection of lighters, pens and cufflinks all based on the galaxy and those who seek to explore it.
As with many of S.T.Dupont’s releases, there’s a variety of items that are divided into tiers. The highest-end items are part of the Prestige Collection, show in the image above.
Casa 1910 Debuting at PCA 2021
There’s a new brand from Mexico that is aiming to change the way people perceive Mexican cigars. The goal isn’t new, but the approach taken by Casa 1910 will be different.
Casa 1910 is aiming to be both a cigar and lifestyle brand that is known for being a Mexican cigar. It will show off its first cigar at next month’s 2021 PCA Convention & Trade Show in Las Vegas, though the company actually plans to immediately focus on establishing itself in the Mexican market before selling its cigars in the U.S.
Its first cigar is called Cuchillo Parado. It references a city in the state of Chihuahua that is famous for starting the Mexican Revolution. The cigar version of Cuchillo Parado is a 5 x 50 robusto that is made entirely of Mexican tobacco. That includes a three-year-old Sumatran-seed wrapper, as well as binder and fillers that are comprised of four different varietals of the San Andrés negro seed, all aged for five years.
