A 6-5 guard out of Connecticut, Bouknight averaged 18.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals in 31.7 minutes per game in 15 games during the 2020-21 season. For his performance last season, Bouknight was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team as well as NABC District I Player of the Year.
Over his two seasons with the Huskies, Bouknight made 43 appearances and averaged 15.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 27.9 minutes per game. During his freshman season, Bouknight also earned All-Conference Third Team honors and was unanimous selected to the conference’s All-Freshman Team.
The Hornets will welcome Bouknight to Charlotte with an introductory press conference on July 30, which will be live streamed on Hornets.com and the Hornets App as well as on BallySports.com and the Bally Sports app.

Sophomore forward Jamison Battle earned a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Conference Third Team, according to a press release Wednesday.
Battle was the sole Colonial to earn a postseason accolade this season, and the award marked his second postseason honor in his young career after being named to the All-Rookie Team last year. The All-Conference Third Team nomination came after the big man announced his intention to transfer from the program Monday.

Fatts Russell was named to the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Third Team All-Conference squad, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
Russell led the Rams in points per game (14.7), assists (103) and steals (44) while also finishing third in rebounds per game (4.5). During the season, Russell became URI’s all-time leader in steals, setting a new program record with 213.
This is the second straight season Russell has earned all-conference recognition. He was a first-team pick as a junior, as well as an all-defensive team selection.
Over the course of his four seasons, Russell established himself as one of the best players in Rhode Island history. He is 13th in scoring all time with 1,594 points. Russell is also top 10 in URI in all of the following categories:
