QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Wednesday said his government wanted to benefit from Chinese cooperation in the fields of minerals, fisheries, agriculture and livestock and for establishing technical vocational training centres in the province.
Talking to Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong, who called on him along with a delegation of investors and officials from several Chinese companies, the chief minister vowed to work for early completion of development projects initiated under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the port city of Gwadar.

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani on Wednesday was briefed on development schemes proposed by the environment, fisheries and forest departments for the next financial year.
A meeting presided over by the chief minister approved concept paper of a project for setting up an environmental lab in Hub.
“Plans have been made to conduct a study about solid waste management and to build an office of the Environment Protection Agency in Gwadar,” the environment secretary informed the meeting.
“The Concept Clearance Committee has cleared seven concept papers of the fisheries department for the next financial year,” officials of the fisheries department told the meeting.

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Alyani on Monday reviewed the progress of the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2020-21.
Presiding over a meeting, he ordered preparation of proposals for development schemes of transport, science and information technology and Urban Planning & Development and their concept papers for the next financial year.
Parliamentary Secretary on Urban Planning and Quetta Development Authority Mobeen Khliji and secretaries concerned briefed a meeting on the concept papers of different projects and progress on the PSDP.
QUETTA: A top-level meeting on Wednesday reviewed the pace of work on development projects being executed in Balochistan under the Federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
The meeting decided to accelerate the pace of work on the projects to complete them in time. The meeting also reviewed progress on Mangi Dam, Grok Dam and other dam projects.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani stressed the need for completing the projects in time. He said that in the next federal PSDP, water, communications and socio-economic development projects should be given top priority.
The meeting was informed that the PSDP 2020-21 included 194 projects.
