Students at Auckland’s Western Springs College have been warned to walk home in groups after an intruder entered the grounds. In an email sent out to staff and parents, principal Ian Davis said the person was “intercepted” on the school site after trying to enter buildings. “The person attempted to enter buildings at school, but when apprehended by senior staff ran off in the direction of Jaggers Bush,” Davis said. Police and neighbouring schools had been notified of the incident and all access points to the school had been secured, the email said.
