Being stuck with each other, as we all know, is a challenge. But luckily, Nicholas seems to be an expert at making his way through earth-shattering events.
âI always like my shows to deal with pretty heavy stuff, but I really like our characters moving on,â Thomas tells TV Insider. âAnd I like them looking after each other. I try to treat the audience the same way I would treat my friend if they had something sad happen to them. I try to cheer them up.â
In Season 1, Thomas applied this strategy to everything from sex and drugs to death, never proselytizing nor claiming to have answers â rather, he offered empathy and laughs.Â

‘Worn Stories’ Season 1
Based on the Times columnist Emily Spivack’s book of the same name, the docu-series “Worn Stories” features short vignettes about what people wear and why. The show’s crew has assembled slice-of-life footage and thoughtful comments from a wide variety of people, who talk about how clothing or the lack thereof, in the case of one segment about nudism connects them to history, to their families, and to the communities they love. “Worn Stories” is comforting TV, designed to leave viewers feeling more optimistic about humanity.

Good autistic representation is few and far between. Most stories featuring autistic characters use them as “inspiration porn” to either cause other characters to grow and change or inspire the audience by achieving something
in spite of their autism. More recently, film and television have made an effort to tell more authentic autistic stories with the autistic community pushing for characters to be played by autistic actors because they are most qualified to portray the experience.
Freeform series
Everything’s Going to Be Okay succeeds at this, among other things, and is certainly worth watching over Sia’s
Music film.
