Texas man shot in Madison Ron DeBrock, ronald.debrock@thetelegraph.com FacebookTwitterEmail MADISON A Texas man is dead following a shooting in Madison Friday night. At about 11:51 p.m. Friday, Madison Police received a 9-1-1 call of shooting and a male subject down in the 500 block of Washington Avenue in Madison, according to Detective Lt. Brian Koberna, Deputy Commander of the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis. The man, identified as Antwone L. Brown, 48, of Katy, Texas, was transported to a St. Louis area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis was activated to investigate the fatal shooting and on Saturday about 15 investigators from the Major Case Squad were working the investigation.

One person is dead after a motorcycle crash near Madison Friday afternoon, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the crash happened on I-39/90 on the off ramp to eastbound Highway 12 just before 3:30 p.m. Friday. Investigators are no longer on the scene, but traffic delays could still continue due to backups. The Wisconsin State Patrol says more information is being collected about the crash, but did confirm the person driving the motorcycle died in the single-vehicle crash. The State Patrol is still working to determine how the crash happened.
