Arkansas Bounces Back with 3-1 Win Over Tennessee

March 14, 2021 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Junior setter Gracie Ryan hit a career-milestone on Sunday afternoon, notching her 1,500 th career assist in the third set as she led Arkansas to a 3-1 win over Tennessee (25-21, 25-22, 17-25, 25-17). The Razorbacks split the weekend series with Tennessee and improves to 12-8 on the season. “A wonderful accomplishment for Gracie,” said head volleyball coach Jason Watson, “Reaching 1,500 assists is a milestone for her and its recognition of the increased ownership she’s had to have over the setter position this season. It’s been a tough year; the competition level is extremely high and for her to maintain her composure while providing direction and leadership to her teammates over the season is remarkable.”

Razorbacks Drop Series Opener to Tennessee

March 13, 2021 FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorback volleyball team was off to a hot start on Saturday in Barnhill Arena as Arkansas jumped out to an early 1-0 lead over Tennessee with a 25-18 set-one win. The Lady Volunteers responded with a set win of their own and Arkansas could not overcome the Vols momentum, falling to Tennessee, 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 25-13, 25-21). Arkansas recorded a team-best 15 kills on 30 attempts in the first set, committing only five errors for an impressive .333 hitting percentage. The Razorback defense held Tennessee to a team-low 12 kills in the first set, forcing eight attack errors on 34 attempts.

Florida Volleyball Sweeps Tennessee in 3 Sets

Gator Standouts On offense, T’ara Ceasar led the way in kills putting down 19 with 36 attacks. Then, Thayer Hall added seven kills to the board along with 32 attacks. The success on offense can partly be credited to setter Marlie Monserez who contributed 34 assists to her offense. Up at the net, Lauren Dooley put up eight blocks and put down six kills. On the defensive side, T’ara Ceasar also lead her team with 15 digs to accomplish her fourth double-double of the season.. In addition, Libero Elli Mckissock kept the backcourt clean with 12 digs. Lady Vols Despite the loss, the Vols kept the match tight and presented a challenge. Madison Bryant lead the game in digs at 17. In addition, Morghan Fingall hit double digits in kills with 11 against the Gators defense. In Gators-Tennesee history, Florida is up 52-13 in all-time wins.
