Joshua Taylor’s Tigers are set to begin what hopes to be an extended stay in Omaha at the NCAA Tournament when they face South Dakota, the Summit League champion, in the first round today at 11am. You can check out all the action on ESPN3.

According to Eric Blum’s article in the Columbia Tribune, Missouri is the one of three SEC tourney teams, with Kentucky (no.2) and Florida (no.8). Should the Tigers defeat the Coyotes, they’ll face No. 9 Ohio State in the second round at 11am on Thursday. Mizzou has won at least one match in the NCAA Tourney in each of the past five seasons. They reached the Sweet 16 in 2016 and 2017.

SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota overcame an 0-2 set deficit to rally past Denver and claim the Summit League tournament title in thrilling fashion on Saturday afternoon inside the Sanford Pentagon.
The Coyotes and Pioneers battled through five rigorous sets, with each team having match points in set five, before ultimately South Dakota would prevail by final tally of 19-25, 26-28. 27-25, 26-24 and 19-17.
It was the first time since 2015 that a team had rallied from an 0-2 deficit to claim the Summit League championships and South Dakota is headed to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in three seasons, after outlasting Denver in five sets both of those times.

VERMILLION – South Dakota Volleyball will play Missouri in the first round of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament on Wednesday, April 14.
The Coyotes earned the Summit League’s automatic bid to the tournament on Saturday with a come-from-behind win in the conference tournament championship match over Denver, 19-25, 26-28, 27-25, 26-24, 19-17. In the third set, USD saved three match points. Elizabeth Juhnke led the Coyotes with 22 kills. Sami Slaughter had 19. Madison Jurgens compiled 53 assists and 13 digs.
