Finally playing in their first game of the season Thursday, it took the Lone Tree girls a few minutes to find a rhythm offensively.
After Maddie Jacque ended the early field goal drought with a steal and a 3-point play, the shots started falling. The Lady Lions finished the first quarter on a 16-2 run and went on to a 49-17 win over Tri-County in the season opener.
“We definitely looked like a ball team that just hadn t played in a while, Lone Tree coach Ryan Shelman said. We re going to find our stride, we re going to figure it out.”
