Massachusetts can’t wait any longer for a federal stimulus plan, Gov. Charlie Baker said on Monday.
The Republican governor introduced on Wednesday a $668 million relief fund for restaurants, retailers and other businesses hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic as congressional lawmakers finalize a stimulus plan months in the making.
“People on both sides of the aisle are frustrated by parts of this bill,” Baker said Wednesday afternoon. “No one’s more upset about current state of affairs than everyone who’s out there struggling to find a way to get by.”
