Back in 2004, Mercedes-Benz CLS debuted as a four-door coupe, since then becoming a long-standing oxymoron of the motoring world that inspired many imitators. Now, for this year, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz CLS gets a refresh, giving a polish to its fading appeal in an over-extended Mercedes line-up.
As part of the 2022 facelift, the AMG Line visual package now comes standard. The grill gets revised as well, sporting a single slat instead of two. The colour palette gets Starling Blue Metallic as a new shade. The sides are refreshed, courtesy of the new 19-inch or 20-inch wheel designs. In Europe, the CLS range also gets the Mercedes-AMG CLS 53, which shows off an aggressive design with 20-inch AMG wheels, updated bumpers and a derivative of the “Panamericana” grill. There is also a limited edition on offer that adds new body shades and blacked-out exterior elements.

Updates to Mercedes-Benz s four-door coupe are concentrated on the outside, where standard Avantgarde variants of the CLS gain restyled front bumpers, black lower rear valance with chrome accents, and a pair of new 19-inch alloy wheel designs.
Opting for the AMG Line package adds an array of sporty design touches, including a unique front bumper with black accents, a chrome lower front splitter, unique side skirts, a rear lip spoiler, and a new 20-inch alloy wheel design available in Tremolite Grey or high-gloss Black.
A new three-pointed star-patterned grille similar to that of the new-generation C-Class sedan is available across the range, as is a new Spectral Blue Metallic exterior paint colour.

Whereas the driver previously had to move the steering wheel to indicate continued attentiveness, the new system capacitively senses the driver s hands on the wheel, improving user-friendliness.
Mercedes has added the availability of two new trim choices: High-Gloss Grey wood and Open Pore Brown Walnut. The leather upholstery can now also be had in either Sienna Brown/Black or Neva Grey/Magma Grey, enhancing an already wide range of color and trim choices that are offered for this sedan. Several exclusive Manufaktur upholstery choices include Nappa leather in color combinations like Yacht Blue/Black, Tartufo Brown/Black, and Deep White/Black. Other than these changes, the cabin remains as before, dominated by dual 12.3-inch screens and the MBUX infotainment system.
