CLARKSVILLE, TN – Clarksville Area Urban Ministries has a new executive director to lead the organization: Maggie Pearson.
Pearson, who was selected after an extensive search and a review of several qualified candidates, has a breadth of knowledge in nonprofit management, marketing and grant writing, according to a news release from Urban Ministries.
She is a native of California and has a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Fullerton. While in California, she worked with the National Charity League and most recently with St. Thomas Ascension Health.
“We think Mrs. Pearson will bring her talents and expertise to our organization at an integral time of change for Clarksville Area Urban Ministries,” said Sandra Simms, board chairperson and acting executive director.

Lebanon rallies past GHS 10-9
HENDERSONVILLE â Aly Dickerson s two-out, bases loaded walk brought home Jordan Bush from third in the bottom of the seventh to hand Lebanon a dramatic 10-9 win over Gallatin in Saturday s opening round of the District 9-AAA softball tournament at Drakes Creek Park.
The victory was the seventh in a row for Coach Jody Atwood s squad and sends the Lady Devils into a winner s bracket contest Monday at 5 p.m. against Beech, a 7-6 victor over Mt. Juliet in Saturday s other opener.
Trailing 9-4 in the bottom of the sixth, Lebanon scored three runs in each of the sixth and seventh innings.
