All Philadelphia residents 16+ now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine WPVI

Health Commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley announced Friday that all residents 16 and older in Philadelphia are immediately eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
The city was originally set to move to Phase 2 on Monday, April 19.
Farley said the change comes after multiple sites reported appointment vacancies. It impacts all vaccine providers in the city, including hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, community organizations, and the FEMA clinics.

Many more people seem to be spending the winter on Block Island, or just visiting for the first time. The uptick in people at the grocery store and the Transfer Station, or walking on the beach is palpable.

First-timers may have noticed that the island has a few quirky traditions. One of those is the Groundhog Day Census. For some magical reason the census ends up being a surprisingly accurate count of the winter, aka yearround population of the island – more accurate, many say, than the official United States Census conducted every 10 years.

Philadelphia police sources say 29-year-old William Singletary was arrested following the incident in the 1900 block of Johnson Road. He was wanted in Philadelphia for murder in August of 2019.
His brother, of the same name, says he was on the phone with him for hours encouraging him to come out of the home. Well, he s my brother. I assured him that he would not be shot. His biggest fear was that he would be shot by police, said Willie Singletary.
