The two icons alongside Sidney Poitier were his role models. Sidney Poitier played the main role in the movie ‘The Wilby Conspiracy’ shot in Nairobi back in the late 70s and later made it to the list of the few first black actors to play a major role in film and the first to win an Oscar for best actor.

10 injured in Bamburi coordinated gang attacks

THE STANDARD COAST Marium Atieno owner of saloon cleaning bloodstains at her saloon in Bamburi where an armed gang had attacked people, her client was slashed and injured.[Weldon Kipkemoi, Standard] A gang slashed 10 people, sexually harassed women and robbed traders and locals of cash and other valuables during a raid in Mombasa s Bamburi on Monday evening. In an attacked similar to the one carried out in August 2019, the gang of about 40 people that appeared from the Soweto converged at Bashir grounds before they spread out in groups of five.
