Selma police looking for answers in 2 missing person cases By Bryan Henry | January 11, 2021 at 5:43 PM CST - Updated January 11 at 10:26 PM
SELMA, Ala. (WSFA) - Selma police investigators face an unusual situation; two cases involving missing people. One has since been found deceased while the other is still missing. The cases are unrelated.
We begin with the story of Betty Jo Mitchell, 64, who was reported missing by her husband on Christmas Eve. Police say the couple shared a home upstream on the Alabama River.
“We’re not ruling anything out as far as her health or otherwise,” said Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford.

In late November, a new entertainment venue opened in the Gadsden Mall after almost a year of construction and months of uncertainty.
“The Alley” took shape inside an old Sears location, fashioning a bowling alley amid a lavish decor that simulates an urban streetscape.
Neon bowling balls hit the pins underneath big screen TVs, while a simulated “food truck” restaurant offers street tacos and barbecue next to a bar. Elsewhere, virtual reality games and old-style video games offer prizes, and visitors can toss footballs at bowling pins. Small children can roll down a “hill” near play equipment in the shade of artificial cherry trees.

Crazy Cazboy’s, the retail treasure hunt that began two years ago in the Birmingham metro area, is expanding in two places at the beginning of 2021.
Founder John Cassimus says stores are coming to Auburn and Arlington, Texas, in the first two months of 2021.
Crazy Cazboy’s has multiple bins of random overstocked and returned merchandise, all new. When the store opens on Friday, all items are priced $7. On Saturday, prices decrease to $5, then $3 on Sunday, $2 on Monday, $1 on Tuesday and a quarter on Wednesday. On Thursdays, the stores close to restock. All sales are final, and customers participate through memberships.
