New Delhi:Â Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, eldest daughter of Pakistan’s former president Asif Ali Zardari and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, tied the knot with Mahmood Choudhry, the son of a US-based businessman, in a daytime ceremony Friday in Karachi.
Her brother and Pakistan Peoples Party chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari took to Twitter and congratulated the newly wed couple with a heartfelt message.
He described it as the “happiest moment” of his life, adding that it “felt like our mother was watching over us in this moment of joy”. Benazir Bhutto was assassinated on 27 December 2007 in Rawalpindi after an election rally.
A reception ceremony took place on Saturday night in Lyari, Karachi like her parents'. Clad in a green and gold ensemble with a matching mask, Bakhtawar looked radiant. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari looked dapper in a navy suit, whereas their youngest sibling, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari looked gorgeous in a blue and silver outfit.
