‘Drug smugglers’ attack police, 5 injured in Chuadanga Star Digital Report Star Digital Report
Five policemen have been injured in an attack carried out by drug smugglers at Darshana in Chuadanga, police said today.
Police arrested three drug smugglers in connection with the attack that happened last night, Darshana Police Station Officer-in-charge Mahbubur Rahman told our Kushtia correspondent today.
Acting on a tip-off, a police patrol team arrested yaba trader Abdul Hakim (28) during a raid on the grounds of a graveyard at Ishwarchandrapur village, the OC said.
At that time, Hakim s associates attacked policemen, leaving Sub-inspector Mahmudul Haque, assistant sub-inspectors Mohammad Shaheen, Mamun Ali, Idris Ali and another policeman Sohel Rana injured.
