Residents who rely on the city of Amherst for electricity are voicing concerns about the scheduled power outage Dec. 13.
Russ Stone,of North Ridge Road in Amherst Township, said in a letter to Amherst Mayor Mark Costilow that he was upset to hear about the planned outage. By shutting off our electric power, our furnace will not work, and it s cold this time of year, none of our sump pumps and sanitary pumps will work, and our refrigerators and home freezers will shut off, Stone wrote.
