We’re simply enthralled by the refinement and subdued NVH levels within the Gloster’s pristinely insulated cabin. The 215bhp/480Nm 2.0-litre turbo diesel mill makes ideal use of an eight-speed automatic gearbox and an AWD system to lay down its power on the road. And it’s got drive-modes like Auto, Eco, Sport, Mud, Sand, Rock, and Snow. What caught us off-guard is the manner in which its mammoth 480Nm of torque is unravelled from as low as 1,500-2,400rpm, tugging this 2.7-tonne of mass into motion quite effortlessly; even with a full load.

HIGHLIGHTS
The new Isuzu MU-X is priced between Rs 33.23 lakh and Rs 35.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai).
The Toyota Fortuner is available in the price range of Rs 30.34 lakh to Rs 38.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The biggest change to the SUV is under the hood. The BS4-compliant 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine has been replaced by a BS6-compliant 1.9-litre DDi diesel mill. This downsized engine has led to a power reduction, with an output of 163PS (-14) of power and 360Nm (-20Nm) of torque. It is paired to a new 6-speed sequential automatic transmission and can be had with rear-wheel as well as all-wheel drivetrains.
On the outside, the 7-seater SUV remains as is with a muscular stance and bi-LED projector lamps with LED DRLs. Other highlights include 18-inch alloys wheels and tail lamps which feature an LED strip. It also comes in a new Nautilus Blue body shade alongside the existing colour options: Red Spinal Mica, Silky White, Pearl Galena, Grey Black Mica, and Silver Metallic.
