The Duchess of Sussex has written a children s book
The former actress will release The Bench - an illustrated story told through a mother s eyes - on 8 June 2021 and she s revealed the tale was inspired by the bond between her husband, Prince Harry, and their 23-month-old son Archie 6 May 2021
The book has been illustrated by artist Christian Robinson and Meghan - who is pregnant with the couple s second child, a daughter - hopes the story âresonates with every family, no matter the make-up, as much as it does with mineâ.
She said in a statement: â The Bench started as a poem I wrote for my husband on Fatherâs Day, the month after Archie was born.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has added a new title to her name children’s book author.
The former ‘Suits’ actress and philanthropist will make her writing debut with ‘The Bench’, which is based on the bond between her husband Prince Harry and their first child, Archie.
The book, which is set to release on June 8, is illustrated by award-winning artist Christian Robinson. The idea for the book sprang from a poem that Meghan wrote for Harry as he celebrated his first Father’s Day after Archie was born.
