Family rescued from frigid waters after boat fire near Sauvie Island

The man, his girlfriend, two young granddaughters and two dogs all swam for safety Tuesday after their boat caught fire off Sauvie Island. First responders found them beneath a muddy cliff bank, hypothermia already setting in after more than half an hour in the water.
Officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire, police said Wednesday.
