TOLLAND, CT A 9-year-old girl was seriously injured in an off-road, all-terrain vehicle accident in Tolland Monday night, state police said.
The crash took place just after 8 p.m. in a wooded area off Mountain Spring Road, according to a state police report.
According to the crash report, a 30-year-old Manchester man was driving a Bombardier ATV with three children on it ages 9, 6 and 12. He was negotiating a left-hand curve and lost control of the ATV, which then slammed into a tree, according to the crash report.
Farmington neighbors are trying to derail a 146-unit apartment complex proposed near the UConn Health Center and the Route 4 entrance to I-84. They warn the traffic will worse and complain that the four-story building won’t fit with the neighborhood; the developer presents the project as modern housing for the health and technology corridor.
