The city of Mountain Brook has become the first in Alabama to achieve Green Zone certification for four public areas of the city after replacing much of its gas-powered maintenance equipment with battery/electric or manual tools. Bromberg’s Jewelers
The oldest store in Alabama (and of course, Birmingham), Bromberg’s Jewelers began in 1836 in Mobile and is now 185 years old. Bromberg’s came to Birmingham in 1900, not long after the city was established, to open a store here in Linn’s Folly . The jewelry retailer moved to Mountain Brook Village in 1950, then run by fifth-generation Bromberg’s. Now they have the Mountain Brook location and a spot at The Summit.

Mountain Brook could soon add entertainment districts

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - Mountain Brook may be the latest city in our area to add not one, but three entertainment districts.
The bill first introduced by State Representative David Faulkner would allow the city to establish entertainment districts passed in the Alabama House of Representatives. Now the city waits on the approval of the Senate.
In Alabama Law, the entertainment district designation allows participating businesses with liquor licenses to sell alcohol to be consumed within the of the district and within its hours of operation.
