KUALA LUMPUR, March 9 In order to sustain diplomatic relations between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, former defence minister Mohamad Sabu today urged Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to refrain from engaging on the Yemeni civil war unless it is clearly mandated by the United Nations (UN). In a joint statement with former deputy defense minister Liew Chin Tong, he added that the interest of citizens should be prioritised in the handling of the country’s foreign policy and that the lives of its military personnel cannot be abused solely for political interests.

Culture 2 months, 3 weeks In yet another social media shitstorm, Malaysians are accusing the road authorities of double standards after they swiftly apologized to Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin – popularly known as KJ by Malaysians – for a cycling injury he received caused by a pothole. On the afternoon of December 27, 2020, Jamaluddin took to Twitter to tell his followers about the unfortunate cycling accident that happened along a road in the town of Banting, Selangor. In his tweet, Jamaluddin included three pictures including a mugshot of his injured visage, and the offending pothole in question. The caption in his tweet simply read Pothole, ditch, KJ. 2020 keeps giving.

Nuri helicopters to be retired from air force, says chief
