Now this may be a slight exaggeration, but I dare you to use any of these roads that have been narrowed due to highway construction without trepidation.
The mass of concrete and metal construction overhead is scary but the poor road conditions – potholed and narrow roads – are equally dangerous.
I usually go to Klang on Sundays to see my parents, and every time I use Jalan Jambatan Kota, I feel I’m dicing with danger. Construction along this main Klang artery has encroached onto both sides of the road which is full of potholes.

In yet another social media shitstorm, Malaysians are accusing the road authorities of double standards after they swiftly apologized to Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin – popularly known as KJ by Malaysians – for a cycling injury he received caused by a pothole.
On the afternoon of December 27, 2020, Jamaluddin took to Twitter to tell his followers about the unfortunate cycling accident that happened along a road in the town of Banting, Selangor.
In his tweet, Jamaluddin included three pictures including a mugshot of his injured visage, and the offending pothole in question. The caption in his tweet simply read Pothole, ditch, KJ. 2020 keeps giving.

It s not fair for the Kuala Langat Public Works Department to issue an apology only when accident victims are ministers, Kuala Langat PKR Youth said today.
Its chief, Mohd Shah Rezza Mohd Tuniman, said the District Works Department should be fair and apologise to all road users who have been involved in accidents due to potholes.

Yesterday, while out cycling, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, who is commonly referred to as KJ, took a tumble after hitting a pothole and suffered a few scrapes and bruises across his face.
After he gamely tweeted photos of the offending road and his injuries, the Kuala Langat Public Works Department (JKR Kuala Langat) quickly replied with an apology and promised to act immediately to repair the road.
