Malley Terry, who lived in Droitwich Spa, died on February, Friday 19. Malley ran a successful small open garden in Alexander Avenue, Droitwich, which was voted as the best in the UK in 2009 by The Telegraph. Her son James Terry, said: “During the first 30 years or so of her wonderful marriage, children and dogs militated against producing the sort of garden she became well-known for in recent years.” After her children had left home, the results of her skill and love really took off. James said: “The first exhibition garden she created was in Kidderminster. Within two years in 1982 the garden was good enough to be accepted for the National Garden Scheme and a few years later attracted the attention of the national television channels.”
