On April 27, the City of Fort Saskatchewan announced the new Transfer Station and Recycle Depot is scheduled to open for full operations late 2021 or early 2022. The current site will stay open during construction 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding statutory holidays, with some service changes.
“We’re very excited to be upgrading our Transfer Station and Recycle Depot this year,” said Sadie Miller, Waste Programs Supervisor.

“Residents can expect a clean, paved, and more streamlined site upon reopening.”
Residents can expect several service changes during construction. Screened topsoil will not be available on-site this year. As of June 1, yard waste drop-off is available for Fort Saskatchewan residents only– residents will need to show ID to verify their address.

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. – Marshall County Crossroads is inviting community members to take in the spring weather while cleaning up your favorite street, block, and park during the Community Cleanup Challenge.
Crossroads, in partnership with the Marshall County Solid Waste Management District and community leaders across the county, is encouraging residents to get outside and clean up litter piles in their area.
“Litter is the responsibility of the person littering, and it s frustrating when people are careless about where they dump their trash” states Marianne Peters, Executive Director of the Recycle Depot. “However, a clean community is everyone s responsibility. That is why we were thrilled Crossroads reached out to us with this cleanup partnership.”
Closed December 24 and 25 for Christmas
Closed January 1 for New Year’s Day
Closed as usual on Wednesday, December 23 and 30
The Depot will be open as usual on January 2, 2021, the first Saturday of the month.
The Recycle Depot is Marshall County’s headquarters for recycling, household hazardous waste
disposal, and environmental education. The Depot is located at 1900 Walter Glaub Drive, Plymouth, Indiana.
