The 2020 event was scrapped at the last minute due to the coronavirus pandemic and the 2021 event was delayed from March to allow use of both indoor and outdoor spaces. Owens said the event usually would attract about 4,000 people but ticket sales were capped at a 1,000 to allow for social distancing. Owens was thrilled the event was able to be held under sunny skies. “It’s wonderful,” Owens said. “The people love it. There has been nothing but compliments from people.”

On Thursday, April 22, Kendrick J. Amerson, Esquire, was admitted to the Mississippi State Bar and was sworn in by The Honorable Judge Denise Sweet Owens. The Honorable Judge Crystal Wise was also present at the swearing in ceremony.
