In a statement released to the press on Wednesday (December 30), Solid Waste Manager Loretta Zammarchi said that Yakima residents can set-up an appointment to have a garbage man come get your tree by calling 509-575-6005.
Tree disposal will cost you $10.00 for a tree up to 5 feet and $15.00 for trees taller than that. Trees over 5 need to be cut in half before pick-up. If you have more than one tree to throw out, you will need to call to schedule a special haul.
