The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Shooting Response Team are investigating the multiple shooting, according to Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri. At about 10:15 p.m., Trenton police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at Oakland Street and Hoffman Avenue. Officers found two victims with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to Capital Health Regional Trauma Center. A short time later, Shaquan McNeil, 25, of Trenton, was pronounced dead, Onofri said. The second victim, a 30-year- old Trenton man, sustained non-life threatening injuries to his leg and rear, the prosecutor said.
