Kathleen “Katie” Robey, a Marlborough City Councilor and one of the city’s most dedicated public servants, is also serving as the General Federation of Women’s Clubs Massachusetts director of junior clubs 2021-22.
A member of the GFWC Marlborough Junior Woman’s Club since 1996, Katie is the fourth MJWC member to have held the director position, including Marilyn Perry, Sheila Shea and Diane McCurley.
However, it is without question that Katie was in for a very different experience than the previous directors.
The GFWC MA Junior Membership had its Annual Meeting scheduled for April 25, 2020, at the Holiday Inn in Marlborough with the installation of officers scheduled for the evening.

HCBS waiver homes allow persons with disabilities to receive the help and services they need while being more integrated into their communities than is possible for those living in care facilities. The individuals living in this group services home are not dangerous people, they re just people like you and me, Mediapolis resident Marilyn Perry told the council before the vote. They simply need a chance to be a contributing member of our community while receiving the assistance that they need in order to be successful. It s called least-restrictive environment.
