Police appeal to return stolen ashes to victim
Richmond police are investigating a theft that occurred in Richmond sometime between Friday night and yesterday.
Investigators have been told a red Mazda 3 sedan was parked at the rear of a property on Murphy Street when unknown offender/s broke into the vehicle sometime between 7pm Friday evening and midday yesterday.
A number of items were stolen from inside the vehicle, including the victim’s deceased mother’s ashes, that were in an urn inside the vehicle.
Officers have released an image of the urn in the hope that someone recognise it and contacts police.
