Dubai: It was smooth sailing at the Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA’s) Primary Health Centre in Zabeel as national and expatriates walked in by appointment for their Pfizer-BioNtech vaccination for COVID-19, which has a proven efficacy of up to 95 per cent.
The entire process is being managed very efficiently at the centre while observing the COVID-19 protocols strictly and candidates walked in one by one for the vaccine.
The vaccination, which is free-of-charge for all Dubai residents, is given in two doses within a gap of 21 days. it is being administered after residents make a call on the DHA hotline 800342. A unique MRN (Medical Registration Number) is issued. Based on this MRN, residents are able to taken an appointment at the nearest Primary Health Centre through the DHA app. The vaccinations are being administered at the six DHA Primary Health Centres at Zabeel, Al Mizhar, Nad Al Hammar, Al Barsha, Uptown Mirdif and Hatta Hospital.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine will be made available at four health centres in Dubai .
Dubai has announced the free rollout of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine against Covid-19 starting today. However, there is a protocol that needs to be adhered to before citizens and residents can book an appointment with the accredited healthcare centres.

When you call the hotline number 800342 the IVR guides you to a voice that explains that the vaccine in this phase is prioritised for senior citizens, only Dubai residents who have a valid visa from the emirate and anybody with a chronic illness above the age of 18.

The year 2020 has seen us face unprecedented change due to Covid-19. It has now been announced that the first batch of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine has arrived in Dubai, and it’s set to be rolled out for free, starting with seniors and those with chronic health conditions.
The Dubai Health Authority is giving advice and taking bookings for residents who wish to get the vaccine, via a hotline. For now, Emirati and resident senior citizens over the age of 60, frontline workers, people of determination and people with chronic diseases aged 18 and above are being given priority.
