UFC 259 injuries and medical suspensions were submitted to MixedMartialArts.com earlier this week for those athletes competing at the “Blachowicz vs. Adesanya” pay-per-view (PPV) event last weekend (March 6, 2021) inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
Not surprisingly, a fair share of combatants were handed mandatory timeouts, including light heavyweight headliner Israel Adesanya. “The Last Stylebender” could be looking at a potential six-month suspension for injuries suffered in his loss to Jan Blachowicz. Related

UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya’s bid to become a two-division champion may have come at a price.
Adesanya is facing a potential six-month medical suspension following his five-round main event battle with UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz in the main event of UFC 259 on Saturday at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. Blachowicz won a unanimous decision to successfully defend his title.
UFC 259 was overseen by the Nevada Athletic Commission. A list of medical suspensions has been provided by official Association of Boxing Commissions’ record keeper mixedmartialarts.com.
