Beloit homicide suspect held on $250,000 cash bond

The suspect in Monday morning’s homicide in Beloit will be held in the Rock County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond. 34-year-old Mario Tucker faces a single charge of first-degree intentional homicide of a 50-year-old Beloit man who has not yet been publicly identified by the Rock County Medical Examiner. Court Commissioner Stephen Meyer followed the cash bail recommendation Thursday from Assistant District Attorney David Olsen, who cited the seriousness of the charge and Tucker’s lack of ties to the area. He is listed in court records with no fixed address, believed to be homeless prior to moving into a home on the 1000 block of 10th Street in Beloit a week before the shooting occurred in the residence.
