On Wednesday an affidavit was filed in Marietta Municipal Court representing 44 complainants, residents in Marietta’s Third Ward, who allege criminal behavior committed by the owner of 1099 Colegate Drive (the former location of North Hills School).
The affidavit alleges retaliation following the loss of a sale deal to Life and Purpose Behavioral Health for the former school site in 2020.
According to Municipal Judge Janet Dyar Welch’s order entry dated Wednesday and timestamped 9:36 a.m. by her clerk, the municipal court has accepted the citizen complaint for criminal charges “for probable cause review for a summons.”

Tyson Chad Hill was arrested Wednesday by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of involuntary manslaughter, a first-degree felony.
Det. Sgt. Smeeks requested and was issued an arrest warrant Monday through Marietta Municipal Court for Hill, 39, last known address of 219 Harmar St., Marietta.
Smeeks began an investigation Oct. 24, 2020, into the death of 37-year-old Jeffry Ryan Voycik. Voycik was found dead in his home at 11:50 a.m. Suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia were found next to Voycik’s body.

MARIETTA The Little Hocking man indicted for the attempted murder of Devon Ours will next be evaluated for competency to stand trial.
Steven Andrew Osborne, 19, of 529 Federal Road, appeared from the Washington County Jail on Friday for a bond and arraignment hearing in Washington County Common Pleas Court.
Osborne is one of three defendants, two adults and a minor, charged in the attack upon Ours, of Marietta, which officials say occurred on Feb. 12.
Osborne faces four felony counts with two gun specifications assigned to the highest felonies of attempted murder (first degree) and felonious assault (second degree).

¯ Osborne would next be scheduled for a competency evaluation to determine whether he is fit to stand trial.
¯ Following such an evaluation a competency hearing would enter that evaluation into the record of the case.
Feb. 5 A deputy began an investigation into Joshua Campbell sending nudity-oriented material to a subject under the age of 18. The investigation was conducted and information in reference to sexual conduct was revealed with a child under the age of 18. Due to the information obtained in the investigation, Joshua Lee Campbell, 19, 102 Summit Road, Marietta, was placed under arrest for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a fourth-degree felony.
Feb. 8 A deputy was dispatched to 15619 State Route 550, Fleming, on a report by Dylan King stating his mother, Christine King, had stolen his gaming system. A second call was received by Christine, reporting Dylan had thrown a chair across the room. Christine advised their argument started over her telling Dylan he could not take a shower in her bathroom, due to issues with the tub, however he went to shower in it anyway. Christine advised while he was in the bathroom he ended up breaking the toilet tank. Dylan informed his mother he f
