Telstra has today announced a campaign to introduce its new brand positioning, Australia Is Why. The new campaign showcases the important role Telstra plays in supporting Australia and its diverse communities and was created by long-term agency partner, The Monkeys, part of Accenture Interactive.
Says Jeremy Nicholas, CMO at Telstra: “For over 100 years Telstra has been connecting Australians and we are deeply committed to the country’s progress and prosperity. Our new campaign has been created to express the vital and sometimes overlooked role Telstra plays in taking our nation forward; to articulate not just what we do, but why we do it. As the country’s biggest telco and a leader on climate action, a principal sponsor of sport and the arts and strong supporter of the communities we serve, we are committed to Australia and to building world-class infrastructure to keep us all connected.

I napped last Wednesday at my favorite view on the Chicago lakefront from the south side of Montrose Harbor.
I figured I had better get it in before pay-meter parking began Thursday.
The sun broke through briefly, enough to heat the car.
For years, besides fishing with my favorite view of downtown, I stopped at Montrose to eat lunch or nap. In younger days, more nefarious things ensued late at night.
I love the spot. Not to get too biblical, but it restores my soul.
As I savored the downtown skyline, Maria Rizzo circled the new meter, trying to figure out whether she needed to pay. I told her it did not start until the next day, then asked if it would affect her.
End-of-year report cards will be bereft of commentary and those extra-curricular activities that could still take place during remote learning won’t be staffed for now in Toronto’s Catholic schools as teachers try to increase pressure on the board to hear their concerns.
The union representing Toronto’s Catholic elementary teachers and the city’s Catholic school board last week broke from what each called extensive negotiations on administrative aspects of a provincial collective agreement reached in April 2020.
“During a pandemic, this would be a very good opportunity for the board to listen to our concerns and try to meet our needs given all of the efforts that teachers have made throughout this year, and it just doesn t seem to be the case,” Julie Altomare-DiNunzio, president of Toronto Elementary Catholic Teachers (TECT), said in an interview.

The Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB) voted last night to declare June “Pride Month” and to fly the homosexual rainbow “Pride” flag at all schools within the board for the entire month of June in defiance of Catholic moral teaching that warns against the spiritual dangers of homosexual behavior and in defiance of the local Archbishop’s directives on the matter.
“With this vote, the TCDSB stepped into apostasy. It is no longer Catholic,” Jack Fonseca of Canada’s pro-life and pro-family organization Campaign Life Coalition told LifeSiteNews.
