Businesspeople on the move in RI, week of Jan. 10 The Providence Journal The Miriam Hospital  Maria Ducharme, of Barrington, has been promoted from her position as senior vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer to president of The Miriam Hospital. Ducharme was hired as a cardiovascular medical/surgical nurse and has held leadership roles in inpatient nursing, respiratory therapy and rehabilitation services. Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce  Lesley Palagi, of Cumberland, has been promoted to director of communication, marketing and events at the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce. She will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing the chamber’s internal and external marketing strategies, communications and public relations activities.
