The Davis County Sheriff’s Office canceled an Amber Alert for a 2½-week-old boy that was issued Wednesday afternoon.
Police tweeted Wednesday night that “Baby Boy Torres . was found in Salt Lake County” on Wednesday evening. “Thank you to everyone for sharing the information and providing tips/leads.”

SALT LAKE CITY An Amber Alert which was issued Wednesday afternoon for an infant boy who was abducted in Salt Lake City was canceled Wednesday night, according to a tweet from the Department of Public Safety.
Davis County Sheriff s Office said in a tweet that the baby boy had been found safe in Salt Lake County.
The infant, identified by police only as Baby Torres, was abducted from Salt Lake City, according to a news release from Utah authorities. Baby Torres was born on Dec. 20.
The Davis County Sheriff s Office identified Maria Ann Torres, 36, in connection with the abduction.
FARMINGTON A mother who sparked an Amber Alert on Wednesday after taking her newborn child who she did not have custodial rights to has been arrested.
Maria Ann Torres, 36, was booked into the Davis County Jail Wednesday night for investigation of child kidnapping and obstructing justice.
Torres son, whom police called Baby Torres, was born in a Salt Lake hospital on Dec. 20. Two days later, Maria Torres took the infant from the hospital and left, according to the Davis County Sheriff s Office.
But it wasn t until a petition for custody was filed in 2nd District Court on Tuesday raising allegations that the newborn could be in danger that officials were prompted to issue an Amber Alert on Wednesday.

SALT LAKE CITY An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday for an infant who was allegedly abducted in December by his mother.
Davis County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a 2-week-old boy whom they are calling “Baby Torres.” They are also looking for Maria Ann Torres, 36, the boy’s mother.
She is described as a white female, about 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. She has several tattoos on her arms, neck, wrist and ankle, according to authorities.

SALT LAKE CITY â The Utah Amber Alert was activated Wednesday afternoon and canceled later that evening for an infant boy.
The alert was canceled just after 9 p.m. on Wednesday night. Further details on the condition of the baby were not immediately available.
Police were looking for 36-year-old Maria Ann Torres and a baby identified only as Baby Torres.
The baby was born December 20. No picture of him was immediately available, but he is described as weighing 8 pounds and he is 19 inches long.
