ALBANY, Ore. - At the conclusion of Friday s meeting, Greater Albany Public School district board members favored Rob Saxton to be the district s interm superintendent.
Saxton formerly worked as a deputy superintendent on the state level.
Dozens of protestors gathered outside of the meeting to contest the board s decision to move forward in the search for an interim superintendent. Many of them said the decision to fire Melissa Goff was done too quickly.

Yamhill County has the capacity thanks in part to an abundance of volunteers to provide 4,000 to 5,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine a week, according to Health and Human Services Director Lindsey Manfrin. Because of supply constraints, however, the county is receiving roughly a tenth of that amount.
